Viking Appliances Available

If you are hoping to turn your kitchen into a gourmet-style restaurant, Viking appliances are the gold standard for home chefs with an eye for design, durability, and power.

Viking appliances was founded by a husband who was building his wife a home and wanted to please her by including a commercial style oven that was both practical and safe for home use.  When Fred Carl couldn’t find what he was looking for, he decided that he would create what she was looking for.   When he finally got the new design approved, production began in 1987.

Within the last two decades, Viking Appliances have become the top of the line in home kitchen appliances.  The company markets it’s products around the world, and has increased their line from range ovens and stoves to ventilation, refrigerators, outdoor grills, countertop appliances, and high-end knives.

As the first company to offer a commercial range for home use, Viking remains the industry leader in home ranges.  Today, Viking makes two series of ranges.  The original style which is still produced is called the Professional Series, which has the look of a traditional commercial oven.  The Professional Series is available in either an electronic or self-cleaning gas version.

The electric Professional Series Range offers QuickCook, a Viking trademark system that uses specialized technology which allows the range to reach your desired cooking temperature in as little as three seconds.  On both the gas and electric versions, the oven has six cooking racks, two power level broilers, and fan-induced heating which is emitted from the sides, giving the home cook the ability to create gourmet foods.

The Designer Series offers a more residential appearance for chefs who want the power of a restaurant oven but don’t want the look of industrial appliances in their kitchen.  The Designer Series offers features such as QuickCook, but adds contours and finishes that fit more easily into a traditional kitchen.  The Designer Series also has a seamless Continuous Grate top that makes it easy to clean as well as adding to the design aesthetic.

While Viking refrigerators are not as well known as the ranges, they are equally impressive home appliances.  They include features like a three-temperature wine cellar, a beverage center, ice and water options, and range in size to as much as forty eight inches.  Dishwashers made by Viking have been industry leaders in offering user-friendly features like a hidden control pad, interior light, top and bottom wash-only cycles, and a special rack for knives.

The dishwashers have impressive capacities, holding as many as sixteen full place settings, and are energy and water efficient.  Outdoor gas grills are a relatively new part of the Viking line, but have high-end features like standard rotisseries, a removable smoker tray, and adjustable warming racks.  Many customers love the two-tray drip plate which means that run-off liquid is directed to a specific spot, keeping the rest of the grill clean.

Viking also makes counter-top appliances including blenders and stand mixers.  The appliances have traditional Viking quality, including high-quality stainless steel parts, strong motors, and easy to clean parts.  The company stands by its products, offering impressive customer service to include helping customers find replacement parts and offering industry leading warranties on products.  If you are hoping to turn your kitchen into a gourmet-style restaurant, Viking appliances are the gold standard for home chefs with an eye for design, durability, and power.
